Study visit to Israel

Understanding the factors determining the high level of innovation and the high-tech investment climate as well as establishing business and scientific contacts, were the main objectives of the visit to Israel for representatives of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office (UMWP) and external experts. The study visit took place on January 22-26, 2023 within the project Agricultural Valley 4.0.

Agricultural Valley 4.0 – meeting of experts

The Agricultural Valley 4.0, modern technologies in agriculture and a conclusions from the study visit to the USA – these were the main topics of the first meeting of the Working Group on “Agricultural Valley 4.0” Innovation Ecosystem, which took place on Tuesday, 17 January. The meeting was attended by representatives of the business, science and agriculture sector. The Voivodeship Government was represented by Deputy Marshal Sebastian Łukaszewicz, Voivodeship Board Member Marek Malinowski and Voivodeship Councilman Paweł Wnukowski, chairman of the Regional Assembly Committee on Economic Development and Promotion.

1st Podlaskie Economic Forum

The Podlaskie Economic Forum was the largest event in Poland dedicated to economic cooperation with Asian countries. The two-day (11-12.10) conference in Podlaskie’s capital was attended by entrepreneurs and diplomats from Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Foreign study visit to the United States

Presentation of the economic potential and investment offer of Podlaskie Voivodeship, as well as identification of new opportunities of economic cooperation, transfer of technological thought and innovative foreign solutions to Podlaskie: these were the main topics of the foreign study visit to the USA on 13-18 November 2022.

Economic cooperation with entrepreneurs from South Korea

Trade exchange and further successful cooperation were the topic of a meeting in Białystok on Wednesday, June 29th with representatives of ten Korean companies from the waste management and recycling industry, who visited the Podlaskie voivodeship at the invitation of Pronar.

The Diplomatic Opening of the Year 2022

The event, organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, took place on 17 February at the Olympic Center in Warsaw. The Podlaskie Voivodeship, represented by its Deputy Marshall Marek Olbryś, co-organised the seventh edition of the event. It was a unique opportunity to present Podlaskie’s economic offer to leading Polish entrepreneurs, politicians and diplomats who gathered in Warsaw to talk about forecasts and economic opportunities for regions, Poland, Europe and the world.

Meeting between the Marshal of Podlaskie Region and the Ambassador of Japan to Poland

Economic cooperation, situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, achievements of Podlaskie’s Olympic athletes in Tokyo – these were the main topics discussed on Monday, 11th November, at the meeting between Marshal Artur Kosicki with Akio Miyajima, Japanese Ambassador to Poland. The meeting was also attended by Hiroaki Tanaka, the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan and Mariusz Dąbrowski, Director of the Investors Assistance and Business Promotion Bureau at the Marshal’s Office.

EXPO 2020: Business seminar “Podlaskie. The natural place to do business”

Several dozen entrepreneurs, representatives of business organisations and potential foreign partners took part on Wednesday (20.10) in the business seminar “Podlaskie. The natural place to do business”. The event was also attended by Marshal Artur Kosicki, who encouraged the establishment of economic contacts with our companies. The meeting was organised by the Investors Assistance and Business Promotion Bureau at the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office as part of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Week taking place during EXPO 2020 in Dubai.

Marshal Artur Kosicki meets representative of PRC’s Ministry of Commerce Cooperation in the field of investment and commerce, development of the New Silk Road initiative, internships for students in Chinese institutions and corporations – these were the key topics of the meeting attended by Artur Kosicki, Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, and Peng Huang, Director at the China International Investment Promotion Agency, Ministry of Commerce, PRC, which took place on Wednesday 11 August at the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office.
