1st Podlaskie Economic Forum

The Forum was the largest event in Poland dedicated to economic cooperation with Asian countries. The two-day (11-12.10) conference in Podlaskie’s capital was attended by entrepreneurs and diplomats from Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The idea behind the 1st Podlaskie Economic Forum is to initiate economic cooperation with the selected region of the world.

– We want to show our region’s potential, present our key industries and capabilities of our universities, and promote our entrepreneurs, said Marshal Artur Kosicki about the Forum. – This year, we are focusing on partners from East and Southeast Asia. Not only we aim to create conditions for economic, business or scientific cooperation, but we also want to show Podlaskie to the world, Kosicki added.

The Podlaskie Economic Forum was held on 11-12 October 2022 at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok. The event consisted of four main thematic blocks: “Doing business with Asia”, “Economic security”, “Digital economy”, and “Economic challenges”. Each block featured four discussion panels. Including the opening panel, a total of 17 discussion panels were held.

The Forum was attended by representatives of state treasury companies, private corporations or institutions such as the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, and the Future Industry Platform.
