The Diplomatic Opening of the Year was held on 9 February 2023. The event is hosted every year by the Polish Chamber of Commerce, inviting representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps in Poland. The event also engages entrepreneurs and representatives of state and local authorities. This year’s edition, once again, was attended by representatives of Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office.
During the official part of the event, a speech was delivered by Mariusz Dąbrowski, Director of the Investors Assistance and Business Promotion Bureau, who represented Artur Kosicki, Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Director Dąbrowski spoke about the economic missions organised by the Podlaskie Voivodeship Marshal’s Office and encouraged cooperation with the Agricultural Valley 4.0 project and the Podlaskie Economic Forum.
Participants of the 2023 edition of the Diplomatic Opening of the Year could, per tradition, familiarise themselves with Podlaskie’s economic offer at a stand held by the staff of the Investors Assistance and Business Promotion Bureau. Regional products were presented by Podlaskie’s entrepreneurs – confectionery products from Białystok’s Cukiernia Kinga and mead made by Augustowska Miodosytnia.
During the event, a number of meetings were held between representatives of the Podlaskie’s Marshal’s Office and diplomats accredited in Poland. Topics of discussion included opportunities for economic cooperation and foreign missions with Podlaskie’s entrepreneurs organised by Investors Assistance and Business Promotion Bureau in 2023.
